SIX

LOYALIST / DEVIL'S ADVOCATE / GATEKEEPER
SIX she is fully aware of what could go wrong. She spends a lot of time pondering what the worst-case scenario might look like. This, in turn, means there is no one else in the world so well prepared to face crises. Type Six wants to avoid every possible threat so much that they are properly equipped to survive in the face of minor and major disasters. She is fully aware of the dangers lurking for her at every turn. She doesn't leave the house without a charger, power bank, portable first aid kit, snack, water, pepper spray... whatever she considers essential for her sense of security.
Care for well-being – both one's own and that of one's nearest and dearest, makes Sixes wonderful carer and friend. However, most of her cautious behaviours are rooted in a deep-seated fear and lack of trust in people and the world. The Six is deeply convinced that everything that can go wrong, will go wrong. A person in whom this type of pattern dominates does not even trust themselves. They are constantly accompanied by a sense of self-doubt, and the memory of past mistakes paralyses the actions and decisions that need to be made in the present. The Six is reluctant to trust people they do not know. They question the opinions of those regarded as authorities – calling into question whether they are aware of the threats that are obvious to the Six. This mistrust causes the Six to live in a state of constant tension. The ever-present lack of a sense of security means she is unable to fully relax and draw breath.
The sense of threat in which it is stuck SIX, sometimes leading to the development of compulsive behaviours. The world of the Six is full of potential obstacles, problems and threats, which is why it stubbornly seeks out or creates procedures and structures that make the world more orderly and predictable. It finds a sense of security in the familiar, routine and predictable. The Six constantly operates in a state of heightened vigilance. It watches out for any red flags on the horizon signalling yet another potential danger. As soon as it notices such a sign, it engages all its resources to prepare for the worst-case scenario.
This does not mean that SIX she doesn't necessarily have to suffer from any specific phobias. Rather, she believes that absolutely everything can go wrong. In her view, that is precisely what happens in the majority of cases. On the other hand, counterphobic Sixes prefer to throw themselves into the thick of what terrifies them the most, so that the “worst” is quickly over and done with.
As a child SIX She frequently experienced a lack of a sense of security. She became convinced that people's behaviour is unpredictable and that one should not drop one's guard when interacting with them. Her spontaneous need for trust becomes secondary to the necessity of constantly registering threats and protecting herself from them.
HEALTHY IDENTITY
Healthy Sixes are exceptionally brave individuals. They answer the call to fulfil their mission, pursuing it with determination and persistence. They are fully aware of their fears and anxieties, but do not allow them to stop them from taking action. They have learned this lesson themselves, and now teach others how to trust their own inner GPS and distinguish genuine guidance from less trustworthy advisors. Harmonised Sixes are active, engaged and full of warmth. They have an excellent sense of humour and it is easy to find common ground with them. People love being in their company
AVERAGE IDENTITY
The healthy Six trusts that everything will work out. In contrast, a Six whose balance is disturbed worries about what could go wrong. They work hard to build systems that protect against various types of errors and difficulties. A Six in this state looks outside of themselves for sources of support and guidance. They take on too many responsibilities and overwork themselves. Then they undermine whether what they have committed to is valuable and trustworthy. Ambivalence, reactivity and constant hesitation mean that others are never sure where they currently stand in a relationship or cooperation with a Six. The Six's constant suspicion and paranoia lead to hostile, defensive behaviour – blaming others and projecting their own fears onto them.
Identity Crisis
When Six is completely thrown off balance, fear takes full control over her. She is ready to go to any lengths to ensure a sense of security. She becomes extremely fearful, volatile and distrustful, while at the same time searching for a strong authority figure to lean on. In such a state, she becomes susceptible to various kinds of self-destructive actions and to joining groups or cults meant to provide her with emotional and/or physical shelter. The irrational actions taken by Six in this state are intended to provide protection against imagined threat, even at the expense of her own well-being. She is unable to place her trust even in the people closest to her.

Enneagram
The Enneagram is a system that organises both human potential, made up of its strengths and bright sides, and its deepest shadows, flaws and frustrations. It reveals how our identity is constructed and what stimuli bring out the best – but also the worst – in us. It allows for a deep understanding of which subconscious patterns drive our behaviours, influence our decisions and either facilitate or hinder the execution of everyday tasks.
The Enneagram reveals nine fundamental personality types. Each of them is guided in life by a different motivation, leans towards different things, and tries to stay away from different things.
